Konami has released a new trailer for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, giving fans another look at the upcoming gothic action game ahead of its October 15 launch. Titled “Bloody Tears,” the latest footage puts the spotlight on Rose Belmont and her increasingly dangerous battle against the supernatural forces threatening Paris.
Set in 1499, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse takes players to a Paris engulfed in flames after monstrous creatures begin emerging from the shadows. Trevor Belmont, the legendary vampire hunter who previously defeated Dracula, heads into the burning city alongside his daughter, Rose, as the pair takes on the creatures pouring out from a mysterious castle.
While Trevor is no stranger to the dangers surrounding the Belmont family, Rose soon finds herself at the centre of a much darker mystery. The new trailer offers a closer look at the threats awaiting her, along with additional story moments, characters and bosses that will stand between the Belmonts and the forces gathering in Paris.
The looming threat of Dracula once again hangs over the story, with the vampire’s latest resurrection setting the stage for another confrontation between the Belmont family and the darkness. Rose will have to contend with more than just monsters, however, as the conspiracy surrounding the castle begins to reveal itself.
The “Bloody Tears” trailer also highlights the game’s supernatural atmosphere, with burning streets, grotesque creatures and imposing enemies reinforcing the familiar gothic horror identity of the Castlevania series. For longtime fans, the return of the Belmont family and the Vampire Killer provides a familiar foundation, while Rose’s role gives the new adventure its own central protagonist.
Developed by Evil Empire and Motion Twin and published by Konami, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is scheduled to launch on October 15 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.
With the release now approaching, the new trailer provides another glimpse at the dangers waiting inside the castle and the challenges Rose Belmont will face as she attempts to stop Dracula and uncover the truth behind the latest supernatural threat.
