The Nintendo Switch release of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is almost here, and many are excited to play. While this is one of the last games for the Nintendo Switch, something has occurred that has excited many about the future of the game. As you can expect, this has to do with dataminers finding something in the game’s code.
To be more specific, dataminers have discovered code for handling 4K resolutions in the game if set to a certain mode. Presumably this means the game will get a bump on Nintendo’s next-gen system, although nothing is confirmed yet, obviously.
Interestingly, this comes after reports came out about how Bezel, Nintendo’s game engine, allegedly has been updated to support 240fps and variable refresh tate. It seems Nintendo is very much preparing for the future.
