Shueisha Games and DeskWorks! are expanding the platform lineup for Chronoscript: The Endless End, with the exploration-based action-adventure game now confirmed for Xbox Series X|S and PC via the Microsoft Store. The new versions were announced during the ID@Xbox Showcase on October 20, alongside a new trailer and an update to the game’s free Steam demo. The game is now scheduled to launch in early summer 2027 for Xbox Series X|S, PC, PlayStation 5, and Steam, with Xbox Play Anywhere support also confirmed.

Chronoscript: The Endless End follows an editor who finds himself trapped inside a manuscript containing a thousand-year story that continues writing itself beyond its supposed conclusion. Its world spans a cluttered, three-dimensional manor and a hand-drawn, two-dimensional setting formed from thousands of manuscript pages, with exploration, challenging combat, and a mysterious narrative at the centre of the experience.

Players will encounter enemies and bosses while unlocking new abilities that help them traverse the illustrated world. The game’s distinctive pen-and-ink artwork extends across its characters, environments, and animations, giving the adventure a visual identity that sets it apart from more conventional action-platformers.

The free Steam demo has also received an update incorporating player feedback. Changes include improved character controls, a redesigned interface, additional difficulty options featuring a new Hard mode, and a new completion video, alongside bug fixes and other optimizations.

Chronoscript: The Endless End was previously announced for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, with its release window moved from fall 2026 to early summer 2027 in September. The Xbox announcement broadens its eventual reach, while PC players can already try the updated demo ahead of launch.
