The clock is ticking for Gothic fans hoping to get their hands on Gothic – A Shadow’s Quest, as the board game’s Gamefound crowdfunding campaign enters its final days with every stretch goal unlocked. The campaign ends Friday, October 23, at 3 PM CEST, but there is still one more milestone to reach before the project wraps up.
If funding reaches €700,000, every boss figure in the game will receive a size upgrade, growing by an additional centimetre regardless of whether the figures are made from cardboard, acrylic, or PVC. It is one final incentive for prospective backers to get involved before the campaign closes.
There is another important reason not to wait: Gothic – A Shadow’s Quest will not be available at retail, making the crowdfunding campaign the opportunity to secure a copy. Shipping costs have also been reduced for backers in the Netherlands, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, France, Denmark, and Slovenia. The Campfire, Old Camp, and Ore Baron Editions, along with the Mini-Pack, now have shipping costs of €9 in these countries, while the All-In Edition ships for €12.
The campaign also has more news on the way, with further details about Gamefound’s Endgame feature expected soon.
Developed by THQ Nordic’s Board Game division, the team behind Darksiders – The Forbidden Land, Gothic – A Shadow’s Quest is being created with input from the developers working on Gothic 1 Remake. That collaboration aims to bring the atmosphere and identity of the beloved role-playing game series to the tabletop.
With all stretch goals already unlocked and the campaign nearing its conclusion, the remaining days offer one last chance to back Gothic – A Shadow’s Quest before its crowdfunding window closes.
You can find the campaign on Gamefound before it ends on October 23 at 3 PM CEST. For more information about the upcoming remake, visit the official Gothic 1 Remake website.
