Culdcept BEGINS is bringing its blend of deck-building and board game strategy to PC next week, with the Steam release set for October 28. The launch comes after the latest entry in the long-running series surpassed 100,000 units shipped worldwide across physical and digital sales, following its July release on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
Developed by Neos Corporation, Culdcept BEGINS marks the first new entry in the series in over a decade, continuing a franchise that dates back to 1997. The Steam version will introduce three additional battle maps, new deck cover designs, and several gameplay improvements, including clearer character positioning during battles and more convenient card selection.
PC players will also be able to take advantage of a limited-time early purchase bonus, featuring special character illustrations of Dragon-Eyed Zeneth and Najaran, alongside themed deck covers. One of the covers, featuring Onyx, will be exclusive to Steam. The bonuses will be available from October 28 through December 27.
A Digital Deluxe Edition will also be offered, bundling the game with a collection of digital extras, including a 53-track soundtrack, PC wallpapers, voice clips, and a font based on the fictional script used in the game’s setting. It will also include a complete card book in Japanese, featuring illustrations and information for every card in the game.
The new content won’t remain exclusive to PC forever, either. Neos Corporation has confirmed that the additional battle maps, deck covers, and gameplay improvements will arrive on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 through a free update at a later date, with further details to be announced.
Culdcept BEGINS launches on Steam on October 28 for $44.99 USD, with a discounted launch sale running through November 11. A Digital Deluxe Edition will also be available for $54.13 USD, while existing Nintendo Switch players will have the option to purchase the digital extras separately rather than buy the game again.
