The surviving New Gods are leaving New Genesis behind as DC’s All In Saga expands into the Fourth World. DC has announced DC All In Saga: The New Gods #1, a 48-page one-shot written by Ram V and Alex Paknadel, with art by Joan Urgell and Romulo Fajado, Jr. The story brings Mister Miracle and the displaced citizens of New Genesis to Earth, where their arrival threatens to create a new crisis for the DC Universe.

Scott Free has spent much of his life proving that there is no prison he cannot escape. However, his latest challenge is one he cannot simply walk away from. Following the upheaval that has devastated New Genesis, Scott has assumed the mantle of Highfather and must lead his people through an uncertain future. With their homeworld occupied by sinister alien forces, the surviving New Gods have taken refuge on Earth, where they must find a way to coexist with a world that is not their own.

Their attempts to establish a peaceful existence are already complicated by the illegal trade in Fourth World technology. As powerful alien inventions circulate among dangerous individuals, Mister Miracle and his fellow New Gods face mounting pressure to protect their people while preventing their technology from becoming another threat to Earth. With New Genesis out of reach and their new sanctuary far from secure, the survivors must decide what their future in the DC Universe will look like.

The one-shot also connects to the larger DC All In Saga, which began with 2024’s DC All In Special #1 and continues with DC All In Saga: Darkseid vs. The World #1 on October 28, 2026. Written by Scott Snyder and Joshua Williamson, with art by Sanford Greene and Yasmine Putri, the upcoming issue explores Darkseid’s past, present, and future as the conflict surrounding one of the DC Universe’s most dangerous villains continues to escalate.

Darkseid’s influence has been central to the All In initiative from the beginning. His confrontation with the DC Universe’s heroes helped set the events of the Absolute Universe in motion, and the consequences continue to spread across both worlds. Even as the surviving New Gods struggle to rebuild their lives on Earth, the shadow of Darkseid remains a major part of the wider conflict.

Ram V returns to the Fourth World following his 12-issue The New Gods series, illustrated by Evan Cagle. The writer said he was eager to revisit these characters, using the new one-shot to explore what has happened since their previous story and potentially lay the groundwork for future adventures. With the All In Saga approaching a pivotal point, the New Gods will face a decision that could shape not only their own destinies but also the lives of the humans and superhumans they have come to consider friends.

V will co-write the issue with Alex Paknadel, while Joan Urgell joins the creative team on art duties. The one-shot features a main cover by Nimit Malavia, with variant covers by Dustin Nguyen, Kyuyong Eom, Jason Shawn Alexander, and Javi Fernández. Nguyen will also provide a foil variant cover.

DC All In Saga: The New Gods #1 arrives at participating comic book shops and digital retailers on January 13, 2027. The 48-page one-shot will cost $5.99 US, with card stock variant editions priced at $6.99 US.
