Developer room6 is bringing its roguelike action game Reverie in the Moonlight to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on November 19. Originally released for PC via Steam on November 10, 2025, the game turns childhood comfort objects into unlikely defenders against the monsters that haunt a young boy’s dreams.

Players follow Tete, whose restless nights take a turn when he meets Luna, who teaches him how to use his stuffed animals to fight back against the creatures attacking him. While Tete himself can only run from danger, his plush companions can take on the monsters, with 40 different types offering a range of combat roles. Some specialize in close-range attacks, others fight from a distance, and certain companions provide support, including healing and slowing down enemies.

Between nightly encounters, players can spend their collected gold on new plushies and special items to prepare for the next wave of monsters. With more than 100 items available, building an effective setup means weighing the benefits of each purchase against potential new weaknesses.

The strategy continues after completing the story, with more than 20 costumes for Tete that change his strengths and limitations. The Moonlight Wizard costume boosts long-range plushies but restricts which companions can be used, while Nap Cloud favors stationary plushies by making them attack twice as fast. Doggy Friend, meanwhile, limits Tete to dog plushies, encouraging players to take advantage of their quick respawn speed.

With its mix of roguelike combat, collectible stuffed animals, and build-focused customization, Reverie in the Moonlight offers a different take on fighting back against the things that go bump in the night. The game launches for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on November 19.
