M2 is bringing two of Data East’s more unusual arcade games back into the spotlight with The Edward Ragtime Collection, a new console release pairing Edward Randy and The Great Ragtime Show, better known to many players as Boogie Wings.

Announced during the 10th anniversary celebration of the M2 ShotTriggers series, the collection brings together two arcade titles that offer a different flavour of retro action. Edward Randy is an action platformer originally released in arcades in 1990, while Boogie Wings arrived in 1992 with its own distinctive blend of run-and-gun action and vehicle-based chaos.

M2 has confirmed that both games will be included in the package, alongside the additional features and enhancements associated with the company’s previous retro releases. Footage shown during the anniversary event also demonstrated the games running on Nintendo Switch, although a complete platform list and release date have yet to be announced.

The collection is another opportunity to revisit Data East’s arcade catalogue, with M2 bringing its preservation-focused approach to two titles that have received considerably less attention than some of the era’s better-known arcade classics. More details about The Edward Ragtime Collection are expected as development progresses.
