Square Enix has officially brought the Kingdom Hearts saga to modern platforms with the launch of Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III], now available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via the Microsoft Store on Windows.

The collection brings together Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind, giving players a substantial selection of the series’ main adventures and story content in one package. Unlike the previous cloud-based Nintendo Switch releases, these versions are native releases on the current-generation consoles.

Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] follows Sora, Donald Duck and Goofy as they travel across a variety of Disney and Pixar worlds while battling the forces of Darkness with the Keyblade. Alongside the three main compilations, the collection includes a mixture of full games, remastered releases and story-based video content covering much of the series’ history.

Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX- includes Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days as an HD cutscene compilation, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded as an HD cutscene compilation. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue adds Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD, the Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover movie and Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep. The collection is rounded out by Kingdom Hearts III and its Re Mind DLC.

The games can also be purchased individually, while Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX- is additionally available as a native release on the original Nintendo Switch. The full Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] is available physically and digitally, while the individual compilations are digital-only.

There are also platform-specific bonuses for players who purchase select versions. Nintendo Switch 2 owners receive the Long Night Keyblade, PlayStation 5 players receive the Midnight Blue Keyblade, and Xbox Series X|S players receive the Phantom Green Keyblade when purchasing eligible editions of the collection or Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind.

Square Enix is also offering discounts to existing owners. Players who own digital versions of the Kingdom Hearts games on Nintendo Switch through the former cloud versions, PlayStation 4 or Xbox One can receive a 50 percent discount on eligible digital purchases of the newer versions. Nintendo Switch cloud-version owners can also transfer their save data to Nintendo Switch 2, although save transfers are not supported between the other platforms.

With Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] now available, players looking to revisit Sora’s journey have a considerably more straightforward way to experience the series across modern hardware, while newcomers can jump into one of Square Enix’s most expansive RPG franchises without having to track down its many individual releases.
