Pre-orders are now open for The Ascent Ultimate Edition on Nintendo Switch 2, giving players a chance to pick up the complete cyberpunk action-RPG ahead of its December 2 launch.

Neon Giant, a creative studio of KRAFTON, has confirmed that the Switch 2 version will include the base game along with the Cyber Heist, CyberSec Pack, and Cyber Warrior Pack DLC. The digital-only release is priced at $29.99, but players who pre-order can currently get it for $26.99, representing a 10% discount that will remain available through launch.

Alongside the opening of pre-orders, Neon Giant has released a new trailer showcasing The Ascent running on Nintendo Switch 2. The footage takes players through the neon-lit streets and industrial environments of Veles while highlighting the game’s weapons, gear, cybernetic augmentations, and fast-paced combat. Both solo and co-op gameplay are featured, with the game supporting up to four players in co-op.

There will also be some improvements waiting for players when the Switch 2 version arrives. On November 18, Neon Giant will release a Legacy Patch for the existing PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation versions of The Ascent. The update will improve localization, add HDR support, and address issues involving co-op teleporting, encounters, saving, and progression. These fixes and improvements will also be included in the Switch 2 release.

Set in the corporate-controlled cyberpunk world of Veles, The Ascent combines shooter combat with RPG mechanics, allowing players to customize their approach through different weapons, gear, and cyberware. Since its original release in 2021, more than 12 million players have entered the world of The Ascent.

The Ascent Ultimate Edition launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on December 2 at 6:00 p.m. PST in North America, with pre-orders available now through Nintendo eShop.
