KEMCO is bringing another pair of its classic RPG adventures to Nintendo Switch 2, with Alphadia I & II now available on the system in North America and Europe. The collection brings together both Alphadia I and Alphadia II in a single package, while also adding updated visuals, new connections between the two games, and additional content for returning players.
Alphadia I & II is priced at $20.99 USD / €20.99, although players can currently pick it up for 50% off as part of a launch promotion running for the first three weeks. Those who already own the Nintendo Switch version can also upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition for $0.99 USD / €0.99 through the Upgrade Pack.
Rather than simply placing the two RPGs side by side, this collection looks to tie their stories together in some interesting ways. Cross events have been added between Alphadia I and Alphadia II, with choices made in one game affecting how events unfold in the other. There are also additional rewards and extras to discover, including an enemy catalog, while players who complete both adventures and meet specific conditions can uncover the true ending of Alphadia II.
The first Alphadia takes place after the Energi War, a devastating conflict centered around the mystical power known as energi. A century of reconstruction has seemingly brought the world back to a period of peace, but that stability is shattered when the Schwarzschild Empire declares war once again. From the frontier city of Heiland, a new adventure begins as its characters are pulled into the latest conflict.
Alphadia II moves the timeline forward by two centuries. The Energi Crisis once threatened to destroy the world and derail the empire’s ambitions, but the danger has not disappeared entirely. As the world’s life energy begins to decline, Enah establishes the Energi Guild in an effort to address the growing crisis. While the Guild initially succeeds in restoring some stability, new ambitions surrounding energi soon begin to emerge.
With both games now packaged together and additional links between their stories, Alphadia I & II offers another way for RPG fans to revisit KEMCO’s fantasy series, while the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition provides an updated version for the latest Nintendo hardware.
