My Hero Ultra Rumble has entered its third anniversary celebration with the launch of Season 19, and the new season is bringing a powerful version of one of My Hero Academia’s most recognizable characters to the battlefield. Shoto Todoroki (Phosphor) is now available as a brand-new playable character in the free-to-play 24-player Battle Royale, giving players another way to put his Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk to use.
As the latest rapid-type fighter, Shoto uses his mastery of Phosphor to combine his fire and ice abilities in new ways. His expanded move set includes Frozen Body Blade Flash, which fires ice projectiles capable of freezing opponents after multiple hits, as well as Crimson Lotus Flame Slash, a sweeping flame attack that can inflict Burn. Activating Flashfire Fist: Phosphor takes his abilities even further, unlocking techniques such as Coldflame Pale Blade and Great Glacial Aegir that allow Shoto to freeze enemies and attack from less predictable angles.
His abilities aren’t limited to dealing damage, either. Shoto can use his Special Actions to improve his Quirk Skills and movement speed, while Ice Slide gives him a fast way to move around the battlefield and even scale walls. With a combination of status effects, mobility and attacks that can come from different directions, Phosphor gives players plenty of tools for controlling encounters.
Season 19 also kicks off the third anniversary celebration for My Hero Ultra Rumble with a selection of events and rewards. The third Anniversary Special Roll and Select Hot Picks Roll allow players to choose from Battle Styles released through Season 18, while the third Anniversary Costume Roll guarantees one of four PUR costumes selected by the player.
Players can also participate in the Anniversary Mission Event, with weekly and seasonal objectives providing Select Hot Picks Roll Tickets. Several previously released Battle Styles will also make their return during Season 19, including Star and Stripe, Present Mic, Bakugo, Armored All Might, Nejire Hado, Aizawa, Tokoyami, Mirio and Overhaul.
With Shoto Todoroki (Phosphor) now joining the roster, Season 19 gives My Hero Ultra Rumble players a new Battle Style to master while the game celebrates three years of battles between heroes and villains. The free-to-play Battle Royale is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, with cross-play allowing players across the supported platforms to join the fight.
