SEGA is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Persona series with a special Persona 3 Portable event for Persona5: The Phantom X, bringing the female protagonist of Persona 3 Portable, Kotone Shiomi, into the mobile and PC game.
Kotone Shiomi will make her debut in Persona5: The Phantom X with an update arriving September 24. The character will receive a brand-new 3D model for her appearance in the game, while new arrangements of songs from Persona 3 Portable will also be added. A special trailer introducing Kotone has been released alongside the announcement.
The celebration begins ahead of Kotone’s arrival, as Makoto Yuki, Yukari Takeba, and Akihiko Sanada from Persona 3 Reload become available starting September 15 through the Most Wanted Phantom Idol Contracts Comeback. Players will also be able to revisit the event stories featuring the three Persona 3 characters, giving anyone who missed their original appearances another opportunity to experience them.
The Persona series’ 30th anniversary officially takes place on September 20, making Persona5: The Phantom X‘s upcoming content part of the franchise’s wider celebration. With Kotone joining the game’s growing roster, the event also marks another crossover between Persona 3 and the mobile and PC title.
