Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 3 Classic Edition and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Classic Edition will come to Nintendo Switch 2 in spring 2027.

Originally released in 2012, Far Cry 3 follows Jason Brody as he becomes stranded on a dangerous island while attempting to rescue his friends. The open-world first-person shooter features a variety of environments to explore by land, sea, and air, along with a cast of memorable characters led by Vaas, portrayed by Michael Mando.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, meanwhile, offers a much more exaggerated take on the series. Set in an intentionally over-the-top vision of an 1980s nuclear future, the standalone experience stars Sergeant Rex Colt, a cyber commando tasked with taking down an army of enemies. Players can use guns, ninja stars, explosives, and other weapons while exploring its bizarre open world.

Both games are currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The Switch 2 versions are scheduled to launch in spring 2027.
