HAMSTER has announced that this week’s Console Archives game for PlayStation 5 and Switch 2 will be Console Archives Nobunaga’s Ambition II launching on September 10.
Nobunaga’s Ambition II was released by Koei in 1990 for an 8-bit home console.
In this authentic simulation war game, play as a Sengoku Daimyo (warlord), command a vast array of unique officers, and utilize every strategy and tactic at your disposal to unify all 38 fiefs spanning regions such as Kanto and Chubu.
Expanding upon its predecessor, Nobunaga’s Ambition, this entry features a multi-scenario system with two distinct scenarios, HEX battles expanded to include both open battles and siege battles, and a roster of approximately 400 real historical samurai!
Enrich your fief, skillfully lead and manage your unique retainers, and expand your domain through warfare and diplomacy to achieve the ultimate goal of unifying Japan!
(The game includes both the Japanese and English versions. In-game text is available in Japanese and English only.)
The Console Archives series is designed to bring classic games originally released on home consoles to modern gaming platforms.
In Console Archives series, features such as customizable button layouts, rapid-fire settings, multiple save points, and for some titles, a rewind function have been added, to support players in completing these classics.
Additional options include screen layout adjustments and filters that recreate the the nostalgic atmosphere of CRT TVs back in the day, allowing players to customize the visual experience to their preference.
Whether it’s a title you played long ago or one you’re experiencing for the first time, we hope you’ll find a favorite and enjoy the game your way.
