Street Fighter 6 has shown off Arjun in a new gameplay trailer, giving players a closer look at the second character joining the game’s Year 4 roster. Unlike many of the game’s fighters, Arjun’s moveset revolves around Yoga Breathing techniques that allow him to trade speed for powerful attacks, defensive options and battlefield control. He will join the roster on October 13, 2026, across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
Arjun was once a police officer in India until his trusted partner was murdered and he was framed for the crime. Forced to live on the run, he has devoted himself to uncovering the truth behind his partner’s death. His pursuit of justice has also shaped his fighting style, with his breathing techniques allowing him to deliver powerful strikes while manipulating the battlefield around him.
Rather than relying on speed, Arjun is designed around heavy attacks and recoverable damage. Several of his moves can inflict recoverable damage even when blocked, giving him ways to gradually wear down opponents while keeping them under pressure. He can also create projectiles and raise pillars of earth, giving him several options for controlling space.
Among his more unusual abilities is Divine Pillar, which allows Arjun to force a pillar of earth from the ground. He can delay its activation and alter its distance depending on the strength of the attack, while Justice Beyond lets him grab an active pillar and swing it toward his opponent. Breathing Ring creates a ring of air that can be sent forward at different angles using Breathing Shockwave, adding another tool to his arsenal.
Arjun also has several ways to turn defense into offense. Indomitable Defense uses his breathing techniques to counter incoming melee attacks while dealing recoverable damage, which can then lead into Moral Breakdown. His Ghastly Interrogation command throw also fits into his recoverable damage-focused playstyle, although it can deal normal damage if the opponent already has recoverable damage.
His three Super Arts continue the theme. Howling Destruction unleashes a series of rapid attacks, while Instant Oblivion sends the opponent flying and gives Arjun an opportunity to set up a Divine Pillar. Finally, Yaksha’s Order disrupts the opponent’s inner ear before leading into a cinematic finishing attack.
Arjun will be available to players who own or purchase the Year 4 Character Pass or Year 4 Ultimate Pass. He will have two outfits, with his first reflecting his life on the run and the second depicting an idealized version of Arjun who has put his quest for justice behind him. Outfit 2 can be unlocked by maxing out his Acquisition Gauge in Avatar Arcade Mode or purchased with Fighter Coins.
Arjun is the second character planned for Street Fighter 6’s Year 4 roster, following the previously released Yasmine. Tifa from the FINAL FANTASY VII Remake series and Bosch are also part of the upcoming lineup. Alongside the gameplay reveal, Street Fighter 6 is receiving limited-time New Challengers artwork and effects inspired by the upcoming Street Fighter movie.
