Marsupilami 2: Salsa Palombia is now available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, bringing Twister, Punch, and Hope back for another colorful platforming adventure. Developed by Ocellus Services and published by Microids, the new 2D platformer sends the trio on a race across Palombia to put an end to a mysterious musical curse.
Something strange has happened across the region. A bizarre melody has caused the animals of Palombia to break into uncontrollable dancing, throwing the normally vibrant world into chaos. Behind the strange phenomenon is the Mummy Queen, who has returned from the Land of the Dead with her minions and plans to unleash a cursed concert upon the unsuspecting animals.
Players will take control of the three Marsupilamis as they travel through four distinct worlds in search of the Mummy Queen’s hideout. The adventure combines traditional platforming with fast-paced movement, environmental exploration, hidden areas, boss encounters, and increasingly difficult challenges as Twister, Punch, and Hope get closer to their final confrontation.
Each of the three Marsupilamis also brings a different play style to the adventure, giving players multiple ways to approach the game’s platforming challenges. The colorful 2.5D presentation is designed to keep the action moving while offering plenty of opportunities to explore the game’s various environments and uncover hidden levels.
Marsupilami 2: Salsa Palombia can also be played cooperatively through local multiplayer. A second player can join the adventure, while the Battle Dojos provide additional challenges and competitive minigames for players looking for something beyond the main campaign.
The game is designed as a family-friendly platforming adventure, with its bright visual style and straightforward action complementing its more challenging platforming sections. Across the journey, players will visit colorful jungles, bustling city environments, and other locations while tracking down the Mummy Queen and her musical army.
