Vampire Survivors has a new batch of content to throw at players, with poncle releasing Legacy of the Bloodmoon, the game’s eighth paid expansion. The new DLC is available now for $0.99 and adds more than 10 playable characters, over 16 weapons and evolutions, a new stage, an Adventure, and 11 music tracks.

Legacy of the Bloodmoon grew out of what was originally planned as a content update for Legacy of the Moonspell. That idea eventually expanded into a full-fledged adventure centered on Clan Bloodmoon and its connection to the mysterious power of the New Moon.

Players take on the role of Malice Bloodmoon as she investigates the history of her clan, bringing several of its more unusual members into the fight along the way. The expansion introduces characters including Calogero Bloodmoon, Ashtart, Sargon, and Baal’Thasar, each bringing their own weapons and abilities to the game’s increasingly chaotic battles.

The new content also gives players plenty of equipment to experiment with. More than 16 weapons and evolutions have been added, including Malice’s Scarlet Needle, the reality-tearing Blacken Firmament, and Incineration, which is designed to wipe out groups of enemies. There’s also FireBall, because apparently Vampire Survivors wasn’t done adding increasingly ridiculous ways to destroy everything on screen.

The biggest addition is Red Moon Manor, a new stage that serves as the ancient stronghold of the Order of the Red Moon. The manor is said to have been built by Baal’Thasar as a fortress for hiding the secret of immortality, though Malice and Calogero’s discovery of the location suggests there is considerably more to the story.

The expansion also includes a new Adventure and 11 music tracks, giving players plenty of new content to work through beyond the standard runs.

Meanwhile, poncle isn’t leaving Legacy of the Moonspell behind. The 2022 expansion has received a free update adding four new weapons, the Argent Flow special evolution, the Pearl Magatama passive weapon, four new characters, a new music track, and buffs for some of the original characters.

As part of the update, Legacy of the Moonspell has also received a permanent price reduction to $0.99.

Vampire Survivors: Legacy of the Bloodmoon is available now for Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and mobile devices.
