TRAILMARK Games has announced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants – Ninja Edition, an expanded version of the arcade beat ’em up coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2. The game will launch digitally on September 4, followed by a physical release on October 9.
The Ninja Edition adds two new playable characters to the game, with Master Splinter and Casey Jones joining Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo for the first time. Players will be able to take on the Foot Clan and Shredder alone or with friends through local co-op.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version also features a number of technical upgrades, including 1080p resolution in handheld mode and up to 4K when docked, 60 FPS performance, HDR support, faster loading times and improved graphics. These enhancements include upgraded lighting, dynamic shadows, reflection effects and anti-aliasing.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants – Ninja Edition is available to pre-order now for $29.99 through the Nintendo eShop and participating retailers. The game is developed by Cradle Games and Raw Thrills and published by TRAILMARK Games.
Based on the 2012 Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, the arcade beat ’em up is inspired by classics such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time. Players can battle through locations including Coney Island and Dimension X while taking on the Foot Clan and Shredder.
The expanded version includes six stages and 13 boss battles, including three stages and six bosses that were not part of the original arcade release. Each of the four Turtles also has their own special super attacks, while collectible tokens can be used to summon mutant allies to help clear out enemies.
Four-player local couch co-op is also supported, allowing players to team up and take on the game’s enemies together.
