Cruis’n Blast is the most recent entry in the Cruis’n series, originally released in arcades before coming to Nintendo Switch back in September 2021. If you want tom play the game now, however, you will need to hunt down the remaining physical copies, as Raw Thrills has delisted the game on the Switch eShop.
While the reasoning was not made clear, it is almost certainly due to the use of licensed vehicles. The Cruis’n series debuted in arcades with Cruis’n USA in 1994 and was followed by Cruis’n World and Cruis’n Exotica, all published by Midway. Before the first game’s arcade release, the IP was purchased by Nintendo who has since licensed it out to the aforementioned Raw Thrills.
It is unlikely there will be more printings of the physical version, so if you find one now, get it while you can.
Cruis’n Blast lets you race your way through nearly 30 over-the-top tracks. Grab the wheel of 23 custom rides from licensed supercars to monster trucks and unicorns! Up to four players can race together, so pick your favorite vehicle and hit the road!
