KEMURI will launch for PlayStation 5 in 2027 as announced by the Ikumi Nakamura-led studio UNSEEN. The yokai possession action game was first announced back in 2023.
KEMURI is a yokai possession action game where you make contracts with yokai, cloak yourself in their power, and fight. The stage is Kemuri City—“the city closest to the afterlife.” Explore this vertical city, where the boundary between the living world and the afterlife blurs, and face unknown beings as a yokai hunter. Defeating yokai is just the beginning—by contracting with them, allowing possession, and wielding their power, everything changes: your appearance, your fighting style, everything. Supports solo or online cooperative play for up to three players.
