Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection is almost here and many are excited to replay the classics like Mortal Kombat Trilogy. There were some concerns though, due to how Mortal Kombat Trilogy’s PlayStation version, which is the version included here, was notorious for lengthy loading.
Fortunately that will not be an issue as Digital Eclipse has revealed that its engineers have found areas in the game’s code where they were able to optimize loading times, including during Shang Tsung’s morphing. The result is now instantaneous loading times, so there will be nothing to stop us from having a fun time.
When our engineers examined MK Trilogy’s code, they found areas where loading time could be optimized, so we did that! In the original game, there would often be a lengthy pause whenever Shang Tsung morphed into a different character; now it’s instant, thanks to our code tweaks.
Digital Eclipse has also confirmed this is exclusive to the version in the Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection.
