WWE 2K25 has landed on Switch 2 and has received acclaim and rave reviews, which is a stark contrast to how WWE2K18 was received on Switch 1, being the last game besides WWE 2K Battlegrounds to be released on a Nintendo System.

The port has been hailed as extremely well done and now it seems we know why it was done so well. Posts on Linkedin have revealed that the Switch 2 port was developed by Shiver Entertainment. Shiver Entertainment is a well known porting house and was acquired by Nintendo from Embracer Group last year. While the port was most certainly in the works at some point prior to Nintendo’s purchase of the studio, it is noteworthy that a Nintendo Studio developed this port and no doubt access to resources from Nintendo played a role in making it so good.

Have you played WWE 2K25 on Nintendo Switch 2 yet?
