WB Games and Avalanche Studios’ RPG Hogwarts Legacy was announced to be coming to Nintendo Switch 2. The game was already available on the original Nintendo Switch, but it did not seem there would be an option to simply upgrade for those who already own the game.
As it turns out, there will be such an option available for those who own the digital version. While you must re-purchase the game on Switch 2, the game will be available for around 10 USD if you owned the game on Switch 1 digitally.
There is no word on if WB Games will be offering this for other games, should they bring more titles from Switch 1 to Switch 2, but it is great to see a publisher offering a consumer friendly path to purchase even if it is not perfect.
