Last week, Konami announced Gradius Origins, a new collection of Gradius games collecting classics and a new game, with the classic games having multiple versions.
One game that will be included in Gradius III, including one version labelled the AM Prototype. There was some considerable interest in what this version contained, and now Konami has confirmed what players can expect.
To be specific, the AM prototype version of Gradius III, to be included in Gradius Origins, features more shots on screen, as well as less slowdown and more detailed animated backgrounds. In addition, there is an edit that lets you have Force Field and Reduce, which should be of interest to any fan of the series.
Gradius Origins will be released on Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC on August 7, 2025.
