Previews for Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition have gone online today and a number of new details are now known, such as support for dual audio in English and Japanese, something that was not in the original release. In addition, you can still register gear in the clothing menu if you sell it, which will let you keep the style of the clothing without actually needing to hold onto the item.
The other changes and improvements include:
- overall resolution increase
- change party at any time in the Active Members menu
- change the time whenever you want via the System Menu
- Quick Cooldown bar added
- Quick Cooldown restored after each battle and restored gradually with auto attacks
- Energy Disks increase the Quick Cooldown pool
- New playable characters
- New story content is not accessible through a separate menu or launcher
- BLADE level removed alongside Division Points and most Field Skill levels
- “Archaeological Field Skill Level 4” has been removed
- FrontierNav has been reworked to work all on one screen
- Affinity levels with party members fill more quickly
- Party members not in the active party still gain EXP and remain roughly level with the main character
- gain rewards for completing the survey of Mira, which is tracked through the map menus
- More defined quest tracking
- choose the background music that plays when flying a Skell
This all sounds amazing and we cannot wait to play.
