The Space Marines are ready to bring the fight to Kronus in Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV, as Deep Silver and KING Art Games have revealed a new faction trailer highlighting two playable Chapters: the Blood Ravens and the Dark Angels.

The latest faction deep dive shows how the Space Marines will approach the battlefield when the strategy game launches on PC on Dec. 3. Rather than overwhelming opponents through sheer numbers, the Space Marines are built around powerful units, careful positioning, steady expansion, and devastating shock assaults that can turn the tide of a battle.

The Blood Ravens and Dark Angels take notably different approaches to that philosophy. The Blood Ravens specialize in reconnaissance, infiltration, and precision attacks, allowing them to operate behind enemy lines, gather intelligence, and capitalize on weaknesses in opposing forces. The Dark Angels take a more direct approach, relying on heavily armored formations and overwhelming firepower to smash through their enemies.

Two commanders will lead these Chapters into battle. Blood Ravens Captain Cyrus combines stealth and marksmanship with the ability to call in a well-timed air strike, while Dark Angels Company Master Astoran leads from the front in powerful Terminator armor. The new trailer also showcases some of the Space Marines’ battlefield capabilities, including Drop Pods and devastating Orbital Bombardments.

With their elite forces facing the hordes of the game’s various xenos factions, the Space Marines will have to make every unit count. Their smaller numbers can be offset by their strength and flexibility, giving players another distinct way to wage war across Kronus.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV launches on PC on Dec. 3, 2026. Players who purchase the Commander Edition will receive a three-day early unlock beginning Nov. 30, while both editions are currently available to pre-order with a 10% discount.

The battle will also continue beyond launch, with Year One bringing free updates that include the return of Crusade Mode, additional maps and modes, new Commanders, and the Mission Editor. Two major story expansions are also planned, with one expanding the conflict on Kronus and another introducing a new playable faction.
