The Blood Ravens and Dark Angels are putting aside their differences to fight side by side in a new CGI trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV, giving fans a closer look at the Space Marines ahead of the game’s December launch.
KING Art Games and Deep Silver have unveiled the full cinematic introduction for the Space Marines, highlighting the two legendary chapters as they face an overwhelming xeno threat on Kronus. While the Adeptus Astartes are among the Imperium’s most formidable warriors, even the Space Marines can find themselves pushed to the limit when the odds are stacked against them.
For the Blood Ravens, Kronus is more than just another battlefield. The planet has long served as an important recruitment world for the chapter, but the arrival of the Great Rift left Captain Cyrus, Jonah Orion, and their forces stranded on the wrong side of the galaxy. Cut off from reinforcements and suffering heavy casualties, the Blood Ravens return to Kronus hoping to rebuild their ranks.
Instead, they find themselves thrown into another desperate battle against waves of xenos forces. With defeat closing in, the Blood Ravens receive some unexpected help as the Dark Angels arrive on the battlefield, turning the fight into a rare display of two Space Marine chapters fighting together.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV is scheduled to launch for PC on December 3, 2026. Players who purchase the Commander Edition will be able to begin their campaign three days earlier on November 30 through the edition’s Early Unlock period.
The battle for Kronus will also continue after launch, with the game’s first year of content set to include free updates featuring the return of Crusade Mode, additional maps and modes, new Commanders, and the Mission Editor. Two major story expansions are also planned, with the first year of post-launch content set to expand the conflict on Kronus and introduce another playable faction.
With the Blood Ravens and Dark Angels now standing together, Dawn of War IV is shaping up to give the Space Marines a suitably massive battlefield when the latest chapter in the strategy series arrives this December.
