Developer and publisher NEXON has announced that the public alpha test for Vindictus: Defying Fate is now live and available to all players on Steam. As part of Steam Next Fest, the alpha test will run from June 8th to June 16th (PDT), offering players a first look at the upcoming action RPG. Building on the pre-alpha test from March 2024, the new alpha build introduces several key features, including the Fitting Room, a preview of the story, thrilling multiplayer content, and more.

Vindictus: Defying Fate combines brutal, skill-driven combat with a dark and immersive world. Fitting Room: Customize Your Character: Players can enter the ‘Fitting Room’ to customize their character’s appearance in a variety of ways. Players can also explore a wide range of customization options to create a look that reflects their unique personality. By choosing a preferred physique and combining items from the Style Shop such as outfits, hairstyles, iris colors, scars and moles, players can personalize their character in detail. A variety of customization items, including outfits and hairstyles that can be dyed using Dye Ampoules, making it easy for players to experiment with different styles.

Story: Member of the Kalbram Mercenaries: Players will uncover a series of events unfolding in and around Colhen Village, the base of the Kalbram Mercenaries. As members of the Kalbram Mercenaries, they will investigate the Northern Ruins, now occupied by Gnolls and commanded by Gwynn of the Royal Knights. Additionally, players will be deployed on a separate mission to Hoarfrost Hollow, where an inevitable showdown awaits.

4-Player Multiplayer: Face Even Stronger Boss Monsters: Multiplayer content is available, allowing up to four players to team up and take on powerful boss monsters together. Two formidable bosses await, offering intense and exhilarating battles. Multiplayer parties are formed exclusively through auto-matchmaking, with manual party selection unavailable. However, players who prefer a solo challenge can choose to face the boss monsters alone.
