River City Girls has proven to be a hit and now a new take is coming from fans. Brazilian homebrew developer named UsagiRu orochi is developing an unofficial fighting game for the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive, based on the spinoff. Kunio No Nekketsu School Fighters will be a 1v1 fighter that includes characters from River City Girls, such as Kyoko and Misako, and include other competitors from Technōs Japan-related games from over the years including Kunio, Riki, and Mizuzu from the original game, as well as Marian Kelly and Abobo from the Double Dragon series.
