■ Characters
Anelace Elfead (voiced Cassandra Lee Morris in English, Sora Tokui in Japanese)
Age: 18
Weapon: One-handed sword
A recently promoted senior bracer and Estelle’s senior. She has a major soft spot for anything cute.
Despite being very driven and diligent, Anelace has a refreshingly straightforward personality and tends not to sweat the details.
Anelace is the granddaughter of Yun Ka-fai, the founder of the Eastern art Eight Leaves One Blade. Though aware she’s still lacking in experience, Anelace aspires to live up to her grandfather’s legacy and master the art of the sword herself one day.
Kevin Graham (voiced Ray Chase in English, Kazuyuki Okitsu in Japanese)
Age: 21
Weapon: Bow gun
A wandering priest of the Septian Church, recognizable for his distinctive accent and demeanor.
With his friendly, easy-going personality, Kevin may not seem like the most orthodox of priests. But beneath his light-hearted humor lies a compassionate and thoughtful individual.
Though the bulk of his work consists of traveling to remote villages to deliver sermons and run Sunday School for local children, his true purpose for being in Liberl seems to lie elsewhere…
Major Mueller Vander (voiced by Patrick Seitz in English, Ryuichi Kijima in Japanese)
Age: 28
Weapon: Greatsword
An imperial soldier dispatched to the Liberl Kingdom, currently stationed in the Erebonian Embassy as a military attaché.
Mueller is a childhood friend of Olivier, who is also from the Empire. Olivier’s eccentricities are a constant source of headaches for Mueller, but the pair’s seamless rapport suggests a deep bond of trust.
A skilled practitioner of the Empire’s renowned Vander swordsmanship school, Mueller deftly wields his heavy greatsword with a single hand. His strength is said to already be close to that of a master.
Captain Julia Schwarz (voiced by Gabriella Certo in English, Eriko Matsui in Japanese)
Age: 27
Weapon: Rapier
The commander of Queen Alicia’s Royal Guard and captain of the Arseille, a cutting-edge airship.
Promoted to Captain for her heroism during the coup incident that threatened the kingdom, Julia has been spending her days running test flights for the Arseille’s new engine.
Her sincere demeanor and dignified aura have earned her quite a bit of popularity among both citizens and fellow soldiers.
Leonhardt (voiced Stephen Fu in English, Satoshi Hino in Japanese)
Age: 26
Enforcer No. II of the Society of Ouroboros. His inordinately formidable skills as a swordman have earned him the name “Bladelord.”
Though Leonhardt’s outward demeanor is calm and dispassionate, he harbors a deep rage below the surface, intense enough to drive him to murderous violence.
In the course of his endeavors to do the Society’s bidding across the kingdom, he has already crossed paths with Estelle and her allies under the guise of “Lieutenant Lorence” many times.
Weissmann, the Faceless (voiced Liam O’Brien in English, Nobuo Tobita in Japanese)
Age: 37
The leader linking the seven Enforcers of Ouroboros, known by the alias “The Faceless”.
A twisted, corrupt individual, Weissmann uses a supernatural ability known as “Absolute Suggestion” to alter people’s memories and perceptions at will. With this power, he was able to manipulate the events of 1st Chapter from the shadows.
For the sake of the Society’s mysterious plan, following the wishes of the Grandmaster, he shepherds the Enforcers in a plot to bring calamity to Liberl.
Renne (voiced by Courtney Lin in English, Aoi Yuuki in Japanese)
Age: 11
A young girl from Crossbell State who has come to Liberl on vacation with her merchant parents.
Precocious yet fickle as a kitten, Renne has a mischievous personality. Her innocence and naivety can often force the adults around her into difficult situations.
Though she has been enjoying her sightseeing around the kingdom, a chance encounter leads Renne to begin accompanying Estelle on her journey.
