Falcom has announced that it will release a Switch 2 version of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter alongside its previously announced versions, and that a “Prologue” demo is available now for PlayStation 5, Switch, and Steam. The Switch 2 version of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter will be a digital-only release worldwide, with “no plans” as of now to release a physical edition.This version will offer a higher resolution and frame rate, as well as faster loading times compared to the Switch version, and owners of Switch version in either physical or digital format will be able to upgrade to the Switch 2 version by purchasing the “Upgrade Pass” for $1.00 / 150 yen.
This is a free demo version of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, a remake of the iconic first chapter of the Trails series that redefined the JRPG genre and set the Trails series on its legendary path!
In the demo version, players can experience the Prologue of the story. Any save data can be carried over to the full version of the game to continue the journey. (Some specifications from the demo may differ from the final version.)
