Nintendo’s new guidelines have struck again. After it was revealed that Redneg Allstars Swing-By Edition and multiple Idea Factory International games will no longer release outside of Japan on Nintendo Switch, we have another casualty.
Eastasiasoft has revealed that the anime-style Japanese dungeon RPG Tokyo Clanpool will no longer be coming west on Nintendo’s system.
The game will be releasing in Asia as planned and will be getting a global release on PC via GOG, however.
Update: It seems the game was rejected due to questionable content in one of the minigames being considered inappropriate due to depictions of minors. Steam has also banned the game in the west.
Update 2: An indie developer has released a video suggesting this may have less to do with Nintendo guidelines changing and more to do with ratings boards in the west changing their guidelines.
