The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is about to get a new injection of creativity as CD Projekt Red has announced it is working on a mod editor for the game. This will be a PC-only mod editor that will allow you to create your own experiences in the game, such as making something completely new or making changes to existing quests and content in a variety of ways.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt already has a number of mods available for the game, but now with a dedicated mod editor, fans can truly come up with some amazing creations like new quests, characters, areas and more, in a way similar to many Bethesda RPGs. Skyrim, in particular, has had a large number of mods available that were truly creative, such as Moonpath to Elsweyr, Project AHO, the various Beyond Skyrim projects and even mods that have become full standalone games like The Forgotten City, and complete redos of the game such as the upcoming Skyrim Extended Cut. It remains to be seen what will be made for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but the future is full of potential and this will give a second life to the game.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was first released in 2015 and has sold over 50 million copies worldwide. CD Projekt Red has Witcher projects in the works, including a remake of the original game, as well as a Witcher spin-off called Project Sirius, and Project Polaris, which is a story-driven open-world RPG that will be the start of a new Witcher trilogy.
