The holidays bring joy to so many, and holiday specials are a time honored tradition. But if you are a Star Wars fan, the words Holiday Special means something very else, and will bring up memories of the infamous TV special that is the stuff of George Lucas’s nightmares.
The special was a disaster, with one of two sections standing out, such as the debut of Bobba Fett and Bea Arthur’s segment, but if there is something good to have come from the special it is that it has inspired an unofficial Genesis / Mega Drive adaptation after several decades.
The game borrows visuals from the SNES Super Star Wars games, and was developed by masterlinkueibr, with music from EdmusPrime, using earok’s Scorpion Engine, and is intended to be a loose adaptation of the TV special.
