KRAFTON and Neon Giant are bringing The Ascent Ultimate Edition to Nintendo Switch 2 on December 2 for $29.99, giving players a chance to jump into the cyberpunk action RPG with all of its previously released DLC included.
Digital pre-orders will open October 5 with a 10 percent discount, bringing the price down to $26.99. The Switch 2 release will include the base game alongside the “Cyber Heist,” “CyberSec Pack,” and “Cyber Warrior Pack” DLC packs. It will also support 10 languages: English, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, and Simplified Chinese.
Neon Giant will also release a “Legacy Patch” for the existing PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions on November 19. The update will introduce localization improvements and address previously identified issues, with those changes included in the Switch 2 version at launch.
The Ascent is an action-shooter RPG set inside a sprawling cyberpunk arcology controlled by the Ascent Group. Players take on the role of an indentured worker after the corporation suddenly shuts down, leaving the city in chaos as rival corporations and criminal organizations compete to seize control.
The game can be played solo or cooperatively with up to four players and combines RPG character progression with fast-paced shooting, exploration, looting, cyberware, and augmentations. Its world is designed around a strong sense of verticality, while its double-aim system allows players to target enemies across different parts of the environment.
The Ascent was Neon Giant’s debut game and originally launched in 2021. The Switch 2 version will now bring the complete Ultimate Edition experience to Nintendo’s latest hardware.
