When Nintendo Switch 2 launches on June 5. Street Fighter 6 “Years 1-2 Fighters Edition” will be there. This edition includes the characters and stages released through Years 1 & 2, for a total of 26 characters including their Outfit 1, Colors 3-10, and 20 stages. There will also be a standard edition for Switch 2.
Those looking to buy the Years 1-2 Fighters Edition should know of something important. While we already knew that the physical release of Street Fighter 6 “Years 1-2 Fighters Edition” is a Game-Key Card and not a traditional game card, there is another hiccup when it comes to the game’s DLC as physical releases of Street Fighter 6 “Years 1-2 Fighters Edition” on other platforms include the Years 1-2 DLC as a code-in-box. As it turns out, this will be same situation Switch 2 owners will have.
The difference here is that other platforms have the entire base game on a disc while Switch 2 owners have a Game-Key Card that requires a download. And while the Switch 2 game key cards are transferable to other players, the DLC will not be. Do note that the code-in-box for the DLC will expire 2 years after release. This part is not Switch 2-specific, as the code on other platforms also expires at the same time.
