During a Super Nintendo World Direct, new details were revealed about the new Donkey Kong Country area at Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Japan, including its opening date of December 11, 2024.
The Donkey Kong Country area will connect with the already-available Super Mario Land section and have new attractions like the previously-announced mine cart rollercoaster, as well as a rhythm-based bongo activity that can be played by three people. Guests can also scan the “KONG” letters with their Power-Up Band, eat new dishes and drink some amazing beverages at Jungle Beat Shakes, and take pictures with Donkey Kong. There will also be the option to purchase exclusive merchandise at a brand new store as well.
In addition, there will be cameos from Donkey Kong characters as well besides Donkey Kong himself, including Rambi, Cranky, Squawks, and Dixie Kong.
Super Nintendo World will also open in May 2024 in the Universal Epic Universe park at Universal Orlando Resort.
