SUNSOFT has announced it will launch a Campfire crowdfunding campaign to bring three of its Famicom titles to Switch and Steam to celebrate the Famicom’s 40th anniversary, The crowdfunding will begin on July 14 and end on August 31, with plans to port the following three titles:
Kanshaku Tamanage Kantarou no Toukaidou Gojuusan-tsugi (July 3, 1986)
The Wing of Madoola (December 18, 1986)
Ripple Island (January 23, 1988)
SUNSOFT also has some plans to release the “SUNSOFT-branded gold cartridge” it was unable to release back in the Famicom days, since only seven publishers were allowed to engrave their own brand names onto Famicom cartridges, and while SUNSOFT was one of them, it was never able to release a gold cartridge due to budget restraints.
