Square Enix has announced that it will merge with Tokyo RPG Factory in an absorption-type merger, that will see Square Enix, as the surviving company, inheriting all assets and liabilities of Tokyo RPG Factory, the dissolving company. Tokyo RPG Factory will cease to exist as an individual entity after this merger occurs.
Tokyo RPG Factory was established in 2014 as a subsidiary of Square Enix and is known for the titles I Am Setsuna for PlayStation 4, Switch, PS Vita, and PC, Lost Sphear and Oninaki for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC.
