Splatterhouse is an iconic series and while the 2nd and third game came to Sega Mega Drive / Genesis, the first game’s console port was on the Turbo Grafx 16 / PC Engine. The trilogy has remained incomplete on Sega until now, as Monster Bath Games, the developer behind classics like Deathwish Enforcers, has revealed a new side project.

The developer is making their own conversion of  Splatterhouse for Sega’s 16-bit system, using Scorpion Engine to do so.

A small teaser of the work in progress was shared on X, formerly Twitter, which you can see below

Hopefully the project continues to go well and we hear more soon.
