Splatterhouse is an iconic series and while the 2nd and third game came to Sega Mega Drive / Genesis, the first game’s console port was on the Turbo Grafx 16 / PC Engine. The trilogy has remained incomplete on Sega until now, as Monster Bath Games, the developer behind classics like Deathwish Enforcers, has revealed a new side project.
The developer is making their own conversion of Splatterhouse for Sega’s 16-bit system, using Scorpion Engine to do so.
A small teaser of the work in progress was shared on X, formerly Twitter, which you can see below
So for the past 2 weeks I took a break from working everyday to… work. Decided to try out Scorpion Engine to make a Sega MegaDrive/Genesis game.
