Sega has announced that the Sega Genesis Classics compilation will be delisted on the Nintendo eshop, PSN, Xbox, and Steam digital marketplaces. This is a compilation of over 50 Sega Genesis games which include the Sonic series (along with Sonic Spinball and Sonic 3D Blast which never made the cut on Sonic Origins), the Streets of Rage series, Phantasy Star series, Shining Force series, Shinobi series, Gunstar Heroes, and many other games. They all include multiple video options, rewind feature, and region switching depending on the game.

Sega Genesis Classics will be delisted on December 6th, 2024. If you already bought the game digitally you can always redownload it even after December 6th. If you haven’t purchased this yet right now is the best time. The physical copies will most definitely be sought after in the coming months unless Sega plans to release another retro compilation with many of the same games.
