The Nintendo Switch 2 is launching very soon on June 5, 2025 and yet some are already looking forward to the future.
A recent Bloomberg article discussing Samsung providing chipsets for the console, also noted that Samsung is making pushes for the eventual hardware refresh for Switch 2. Specifically, Samsung is pushing for OLED screens to be used.
Samsung has long been a prime supplier to Nintendo, providing NAND flash memory and OLED screens to the Switch. The Korean company has also pushed for OLED panels to be used when Nintendo refreshes the Switch 2 in future, another person said.
The Nintendo Switch received an OLED update, so it is possible a future hardware update will see Switch 2 receive one as well.
