Square Enix recently gave an update about the Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake and confirmed it will come to Steam, Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch, but there seems to be more to the project than we realized.
A new comment from the leaker Midori has implied that the game is now a remake of the first trilogy of the Dragon Quest series, Dragon Quest I, II and III.
“I think it is Loto trilogy.”
The latest video simply says the “legend of Erdrick draws near” and and shows off the “HD-2D” logo, but there’s no specific mention of Dragon Quest III. Erdrick is the name of the hero in the third game but the original three games are also known as the ‘Erdrick Trilogy’ (or the Loto trilogy in Japan).
Midori also claims that fans will likely be hearing more about this at the “next Nintendo Direct”,
