The Doctor is at it again.
Prolific researcher of video games in development, Doctre81 is known for scouring sites like LinkedIn to find upcoming games, and has previously been one of the first to discover who was developing the Star Fox remake.
Now the Doc has made a new discovery, with a LinkedIn page of an Iron galaxy employee revealing they worked on a live service game coming to Switch 2 and is available on other platforms. While Iron Galaxy has handled many ports, they are also the developer of the 2013 version of Killer Instinct from season 2 onward, which is in fact a liveservice game, and Iron Galaxy still does work on the title for maintenance reasons. While Iron Galaxy is also working on the Black Ops remasters, those games are not liveservices in the same way as recent entries in the COD franchise, lending credence to this possibility.
While not confirmed, the idea of Killer Instinct returning to a Nintendo platform is an exciting one. What do you think?
