Independent Montreal-based studio HeartLoop Games is excited to bring its debut fighting game, Poly Fighter to PAX East. Poly Fighter blends retro arcade-style one-on-one combat with roguelike progression to create a nostalgic yet unique experience. Attendees will be able to step into the ring, defeat opponents, and steal their moves to further build out their custom fighting style in a high-stakes arcade experience designed exclusively for solo play.
Every victory results in new moves, allowing players to swap, chain and upgrade abilities to create devastating combos. From zoning tactician to a grappling powerhouse to a rushdown menace, every run is a new build and no two fighters evolve the same way.
Perfect for fans of single-player fighters, the game removes ranked ladders and online pressure, focusing instead on high-stakes duals and replayable build experimentation. Modern and approachable controls, as well as the option for motion inputs, allow newcomers to execute stylish combos quickly, while veteran players can explore thousands of possible move interactions.
