Vampire spies, Cold War intrigue, and complicated relationships are coming together in Red Kiss, a narrative-driven RPG that will bring its supernatural espionage to Xbox Series X|S in 2027. Publisher Fellow Traveller and developer Wispfire have confirmed the new console version alongside a PC release through the Microsoft Store, expanding the game’s previously announced Steam launch. The game will also be available through Xbox Game Pass.
Set in 1989 Berlin, Red Kiss puts players in control of a house of vampire operatives navigating political paranoia, supernatural conspiracies, and the messy relationships within their own ranks. After being transformed into a vampire, the protagonist is recruited by a mysterious figure known as Daddy and assumes the role of an Augur, using telepathic abilities and an occult device called the Tabernacle to direct operatives across the divided city.
Players will need to consider each agent’s individual skills, secrets, and personal motivations when assigning them to dangerous missions. Alongside navigating skill checks and managing resources such as blood and energy, maintaining relationships between the members of the vampire house will also play an important role in how events unfold.
Combining dispatch-style strategy with visual novel storytelling and light RPG management, Red Kiss aims to offer something different from a conventional role-playing adventure. Its mix of political intrigue, supernatural espionage, and interpersonal drama will see players uncover their operatives’ personal stories while developing blood bonds and deciding how far they are willing to go.
Red Kiss is scheduled to launch in 2027 for Xbox Series X|S and PC via the Microsoft Store and Steam. Xbox Game Pass availability has also been confirmed, giving subscribers another upcoming RPG to watch.
