Makoto “Karu_gamo” Wada, the developer of Royal Anapoko Academy and Protect Me Knight is working on a JRPG for the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis, which is going by the name Archeon.
Wada has shown off some of the game’s development on social media, revealing that the game will adopt a first-person perspective in the vein of Wizardry and Shining in the Darkness. Wada’s posts who he is rather proud of the game’s “plump-bellied succubus”, commenting “Seeing how the movement I made with the tool works effortlessly on the Mega Drive really shows how great tools are.”
Wada has also shown the game running on actual Mega Drive hardware which you can see below:
Wada has previously had his titles release by Yuzo Koshiro’s Ancient studio, so it will be interesting to see if that happens here.
