Pokémon fans will soon have a new reason to visit London, as The Pokémon Company International has announced plans to open a permanent Pokémon retail store in the UK capital by 2029. The location will mark the first permanent physical retail space for the Pokémon brand outside Asia, with the company also planning to open additional stores internationally in the future.

The upcoming store is expected to offer exclusive merchandise and unique experiences for fans of all ages, giving visitors an opportunity to engage with the franchise beyond its games, trading cards, and online merchandise store. However, specific details about the store’s location, layout, and planned attractions have yet to be revealed.

“We are always exploring new opportunities that help us create unique and memorable experiences for our fans,” said Gaku Susai, Chief Product and Experience Officer at The Pokémon Company International. Susai added that the store will welcome both newcomers and longtime Trainers, with the goal of creating a place where fans can connect through their shared love of Pokémon.

While the planned opening is still several years away, London will serve as the starting point for a broader expansion of permanent Pokémon retail locations outside Asia. The Pokémon Company International says further information about the London store and its future plans will be shared at a later date.
