When The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom was revealed, it was noted that the game would have amiibo support, but fans did not know what that would be. However, there is a new update that gives us more insight into there functionality thanks to Nintendo’s Japanese website.
On Nintendo’s Japanese website, there is an all-encompassing page for amiibo, and on that page, Nintendo has added a short bit of detail on just how The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom uses functionality, noting that players can scan in amiibo to get “items useful for your adventure,” and also earn “different colors of clothing.”
The details on what items you’ll get in Echoes of Wisdom for scanning in amiibo remains a mystery for now but presumably it will likely be similar to what happens in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, where scanning in amiibo will get you a random drop of materials and weapons.
In addition, every Zelda-related amiibo released thus far will work in Echoes of Wisdom, and Nintendo is set to restock the 2019 Link’s Awakening remake Link amiibo, and the 2016 Wind Waker-style Zelda amiibo on Sept. 26th, 2024, according to Best Buy, Target, and GameStop.
